Shane Long has entered the history of the Premier League on Tuesday. The Southampton striker has become the player who has scored the fastest goal in the history of the English league in its current format. The striker took six seconds to beat the Watford goalkeeper, which allows him to surpass the previous mark of Ledley King (Tottenham) of 2000 (10 seconds against Bradford).
Long took advantage of a failure of defender Cathcart to stand against Ben Foster and beat him with a precious Vaseline to give Southampton advantage on Vicarage Road.
